Start in a bookshop on a rainy night

Lin Che is about to close. You only came in to escape the rain, but a stack of books is getting wet by the window.

Help him save them, then listen to a memory, and he may ask you to stay after closing to sort a box of old letters. Browse for a few minutes and leave, and that invitation never happens.

See the result in the reader, download the complete example, and make the people and place your own. A few clear rules turn “affinity unlocks a special scene” into something you can write, test and adjust.

A 0.3 pack that starts with strangers, remembers small acts of care, and leaves acceptance of an invitation to the reader. You’ll find where state lives, which actions can change it, and how to keep locked story content behind its condition.

Add a 0.4 achievement or badge when you want a keepsake. Move to 0.5 when you want the bookshop and Lin Che on a visual stage. The version guide helps you choose what your story needs.

The greenhouse labs below remain available, each with a start and finished pack. Use them to look up a specific feature while writing your bookshop story; you don’t have to complete them all first.
